Ben Milam has spent twenty years in home services, running HVAC, plumbing and electrical operations as a vice president and then as a president. Ground-up construction, high rises, service calls, the small repairs nobody else wanted. He has seen how these companies work from the inside, including the parts that are not flattering.
Eight years in the Navy as a Seabee, including a deployment to Afghanistan. That experience became the inspiration behind the name Anchor Water Pros.
Ask him what he actually likes about this work and he does not talk about equipment. He talks about walking into a house on somebody's worst day, when the water has stopped or the system has failed and they do not know who to call, and being the person who fixes it. He has been on that side of it himself. He knows what it feels like to have a problem in your own home and no idea who to trust with it, and he has never forgotten it.
That is why the money side matters to him as much as the repair. He has worked for companies that pushed for revenue first, and he has been the one stepping back to ask whether what they were about to sell was actually the right answer for the family in front of them. At Anchor Water Pros that question comes first, every time.
